About Mbuluzi Campsite

Mbuluzi Game Reserve is a 3000-hectare bushveld paradise in northeast Swaziland and part of the larger Lubombo Conservancy. The property is privately situated along the Mlawula River where visitors are free to relax or explore the game reserve at their own pace.

The Campsite is located above some of the most amazing rapids in the Mbuluzi River. It is rustic and spaciously set out amongst shady trees. Preserving the feel of the African bush, there is no electricity. There are clean toilets and showers with hot water being provided by lighting a fire under the donkey boiler. Firewood is provided. There are several reed enclosures for campers to make use of. Each has a water stand pipe and a braai grid. There are also two very private Campsites located a short distance from the main camp overlooking the Mbuluzi River.

The catering can be arranged by prior arrangement. Guests have free access to the entire game reserve to cycle, walk, game drive or fish. Game in the reserve includes zebra, giraffe, impala, kudu and nyala. There are no dangerous animals in the park other than crocodiles, hippopotamuses, hyena and the occasional leopard therefore tour guides are not necessary. The gate is open from 6am to 6pm.

Safari: Guests have free access to the entire game reserve to cycle, walk, game drive or fish. Game in the reserve includes zebra, giraffe, impala, kudu and nyala.

We had a fabulous time at Mbuluzi campsite. Plenty of hot water and tons of fire wood. We had a boma to ourselves. In fact we had the whole camp site to ourselves. Staff friendly and helpful. Dont do it if you are not a bona fide camper ! Amazing stars at night. Volcanic rock waterfall. Abundant bird life. We saw Giraffe and Kudu. An amazing experience !!!

We enjoyed every moment, also the rain! The campsite is nice and we could chill, walk, drive some of the 4X4 routes and enjoy nature. We saw a lot of birds and the swim in the river on the very very hot day was so refreshing. Everything of the best for the staff and management.

Over all the camp was prestine and lovely under the trees bird life fantastic. Some things the hosts need to attend to,When we arrived nobody at reception to meet us and did not answer phonesFor 2 nights we had no water as they had forgotten to open the tap on the feeder tanks.once these things were sorted we thourouly enjoyed the stay a table and something to sit on in the ablution building would be a great help. the showers were brilliant and spacious once we got water and good pressure. The staff were very friendly and helpful.I definately will return Peter Dinkelman

We were welcomed by the friendly staff upon arrival and they did everything possible to make us feel relaxed and at home. The campsites are well set out with firewood stocked right next to the fire pit for your convenience. The fishing is amazing. We caught a wide variety of indigenous species using artificial lures.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mbuluzi to my camping friends and family.
